They collaborated with Dataintellico to conduct a comprehensive analysis, leveraging Python-based reports with statistical analysis, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing.
1. Assessing Organizational Efficiency
Problem Statement: Our client aims to assess the efficiency of its organizational structure. They need to determine whether the current structure is appropriately balanced between width (span of control) and height (number of management levels). The key question is whether the organization is characterized as flat or tall and wide or narrow.
Hypothesis:
H0: The organizational structure is balanced and does not significantly deviate from the ideal span of control (15 to 20 subordinates per supervisor or manager).
H1: The organizational structure deviates significantly from the ideal span of control.
Hypothesis Testing and Statistics:
Dataintellico conducts a regression analysis and hypothesis testing to assess the span of control across different departments. The statistical analysis compares the average number of subordinates per supervisor with the ideal span of control range (15 to 20) to determine any significant deviations.
Results:
